Guaranteed RAM
Uncover the distinction between regular and guaranteed RAM in the web hosting world.
RAM is an abbreviation for Random Access Memory. This is a type of computer memory, that, different from other storage devices like harddrives or DVDs, enables the data to be accessed directly without reading the previous content located within it. Anytime an app is started, it is stored in the RAM, because it can be accessed considerably quicker than if it was read from another media. With regards to the web hosting service itself, extra RAM means that more web applications can operate concurrently on a certain hosting server, particularly if they are resource-demanding and are accessed by a significant number of people all at once. Not like a shared web hosting solution where the system resources of a particular account can be flexible and often depend on what other users consume also, a VPS includes a guaranteed amount of RAM which can be used all the time. That memory is assigned to one server only and shall not be used by other customers even if it is not used.

Guaranteed RAM in VPS Servers
All our
VPS server solutions feature a guaranteed amount of RAM. In other words, even when you use only a tiny fraction of the resources which your package offers, we'll never assign the free resources to a different VPS account on the same physical server. As we create only a few virtual servers on a physical one, the latter will always have plenty of free memory to ensure the adequate functioning of all the VPS accounts even if their RAM allocation is upgraded substantially at some point. When you also opt to upgrade your plan or to keep the latest one and to add only more memory, the new amount shall also be reserved only for your account. In this way, we make certain that your sites will operate effectively at all times no matter what the other VPS accounts are using.

Guaranteed RAM in Dedicated Servers
All of our
dedicated server plans include a great deal of physical memory, that'll enable you to run extremely heavy web applications with no problems. We use new and meticulously tested hardware components when we set up a new web server to make certain that there won't be any problems of any kind. The RAM memory is not an exception and if you buy a dedicated server, we will ensure that you get the best efficiency possible from the configuration which you have chosen. Even if we identify that you aren't using the full capacity of the machine, we will never modify the hardware in any way, so the total amount of RAM that will be readily available will always be the same. You may check out the configuration, including the physical memory, within your billing CP at any time.
